How To Use A Alfa AWUS036H USB Wifi Adapter
When you got the wifi adapter, you could check the package. It will contains the following:
1x Alfa USB wifi adapter
1x 8dBi wifi booster antenna
1x 2dBi wifi booster antenna
1x mount holder
1x USB cable
First, take off the package and connnect the antenna (longer one or shorter one) into the adapter. The antenna range is about upto 500 meters and support Wireless-G.
Second, put the usb cable to your computer and the adapter. It is Plug-and-Play, and compatible with windows 98SE, 2000, Millennium, XP and Linux.
Third, open your computer. If you have WindowsXP it will be installed on your computer automatically. If you have Windows7, you should install the driver softwares in the disc.. It works well in high security 64/128/256bit WEP Encryption, TKIP, WPA, 802.11.
Then you click the new icon on the bottom-right corner of your screen. A pop-up window will show and you will see different wifi networks on the list. Just click one of the networks and wait for the connections.
That’s all. Very easy, isn’t it?
