Fiber Pci
scsci or fibrechannel harddrives???

What is better and faster if you can get 2xultra320scsci’s or 2xfibrechannel HDD that you want to raid 0 for performance.
Is fibre faster than scsci?

LSI PCI-X Fibre Channel, 64bit/133MHz, 2Gbit, single channel, optical LC connector.

LSI PCI-X Fibre Channel, 64bit/133MHz, 2Gbit, dual channel, optical LC connector.

or

LSI Ultra320 Single Channel RAID, low profile 64bit/66MHz PCI 64MB ECC, 5 Device Cable Terminated.

LSI Ultra320 Dual Channel RAID, half size 64bit/66MHz PCI, 64MB ECC, with Battery Backup Unit

Well, I can tell you one thing, I had a scsi320, and the transfer rates were the same as my SATA2 hard drive operating through and old SATA150 interface. Im positive that a true SATA2 setup would be faster than either Fibre channel or Ultra320, since SATA2 is 3.0gb/s.

If you dont have a choice besides those two, the scsi 320 is faster, since 320Mb is 2.5gb/s.
